I followed a link from a friends myspace (someone she had friended) to their site (moondrop clothiers I think it was) and saw the diva tribe banner so decided to check it (y'all) out!

I found you using google.  I was just looking for good message boards to join.  I'm glad I found a site for crafty girls.  This looks like a fun group.

I was checking out a site I read about in a magazine (www.daringfemale.com), and this site was listed in their resources section as a great place for strong, creative women.

I found this forum by looking for women's forums on Google.  My name is Mary and I am glad to join.

I guess it was about 3 or 4 years now? I was looking for a women's forum... Something not typical... Something for young, modern mothers, women with interests beyond the "Parents Magazine" type of thing, and particularly women who wrote what they thought. I'm not sure exactly what I Googled - but eventually I stumbled upon the site.

I browsed the forums, and the blogs, and really liked what I saw!

Then it gets funny! I was interested in seeing who ran & moderated the site so I clicked (on the old site) the "about the authors" page - Jen and Lara.

I was shocked to see the face of one of my best friends from elementary school - Lara! So I joined the site and reconnected with Lara!

I have been a "diva" ever since! :queen:

Let's see...I googled "artist mom message board"...and voila.

By doing a Google Search  :)

I was searching for womens community sites and pregnancy support groups etc.. and I found this site and it looked awesome to me and this is my first time on here so HELLO EVERYBODY!

just did a search online. it seemed like a place I needed to be.  :heart:

I found Divatribe while looking at art project sites. It sounded very interesting.

Tracy here from Ohio.  I found DivaTribe while searching for an online community that is female friendly (i.e. I will not be asked a/s/l by a bunch of over eager men -& women). I am 36, happily married, and have one 12 yr. old son.

I'm new to the Tribe, but I found you via a web search.    I've returned to school for my B.A. and, for an assignment, I"m researching  blogging and feminist issues - who's blogging what, where, etc.?

Me?  I'm not really a blogger nor do I really chat via site posts, etc, BUT I really think that will change as I've looked around this site and loved what I've seen, especially some great posts by what seem to be great women!

google search for women's message boards...i'm already glad i found this

I found Diva Tribe by searching Google with "Creative Women's forums".   Being an artist and woman this is just what I was looking for!

Like another member I was looking for Women only sites.  A place where I could talk and share with others

I found this site while lurking on a parenting site when I had my first son.  When two of my favorite members left to start their own site for creative Women, I checked it out and posted on my first message board ever!  This is truly a great place.

If I'd known this before, I'd forgotten!  Thanks for sharing your story.   You've 'known' us here for a LONG time!  :eek:  I think DT launched officially in early 2002.

I don't even remember how I found diva tribe, but excited to be a member! I had the page book marked for a while, revisited and finally signed up!  I love the definition of a "diva" on the home page!! Cheers!

I was looking for women's networking and found you through Fabulously40.com.  I have recently discovered my inner diva and am having a blast learning how to let her out!  I have a new website for women in their 40's & 50's who would like a man in their life but forgot how to attract them while being classy-not trashy!  After years of putting boundries up because I was a married woman,  I'm now single again & relearning how to let men know I'm interested while remaining a lady!  I look forward to networking here and enourage you to check out my new site:  GrandPlanToFindAMan.com   :queen:

I was actually searching for a website a friend of mine was telling me about and stumbled on ya!!! So, I might as well tell you guys too! I googled Burberry bag scavenger hunt and then clicked on the first link. This will take you to a really cool womens site and they are giving away a free burberry bag!!!

Hi all! I found Diva Tribe today from a link I found on myspace.

I stumbled across it by accident from google.

i've been looking for a forum....and just searched until i found this one.  my daughter runs one here in chicago, but it's private and you have to be invited.  i wasn't.  :sad:  so it's up to me to find one that fits!

I belonged to a message board and was starting to getting very disgusting comments from men.  When I complained to the admin he told me that I need to grow up and stop whinning so much. So I googled forum for woman.

I googled "message boards for women" and this was the second site that came up. 

Currently unemployed, can't stand day time television and done with housework sat down to do a search of message boards for women, most are for mothers but I wasn't interested in a "parenting" forum.  Yes my daughter does live with me but she is 23 years old now and I really don't "parent" her any longer.  She works and goes to school and pretty much has her own life as I do. 
Anyway when this came up on my google I decided to take a look, liked what I saw and decided to register.

I found this by happenstance, and am so glad I did....I am turning 50 next year and this year is a year of sweeping changes for me....I am separated and most likely will be divorced by the time I am 50...I would like to start out that decade fresh and ready for whatever comes my way....

I work about 13 different jobs, though most are all in sales, so my life is up and down with finances because of the commission structure...to keep life a bit sane, I do work some regular retail.  In fact I am just finishing a project now managing a couple of jewelry kiosks at Six Flags....

With the separation and pending divorce, a lot of friends either weren't comfortable or at a loss for words and then couple that with being in outside sales and you realize that you don't run into lots of areas that you can potential new friends...even people at church have been aloof...hence a new church, a clean slate and an excitement of starting a new decade. I should say my husband is a decent man, he simply doesn't know how to be in a give and take relationship....he will make the best brother I never had....

I have one son who is in the army, stationed in Kansas...(he asked for Korea, they sent him to Kansas, I told him "well at least it started with a "K", and that I would rather you be in Kansas anyday).....I love life, am passionate about most things and am always thinking outside of the box when it comes to work and life and adventures...(well within reason) I love to read, love to drive, love, love, love coffee....(used to, for a number of years own my own very bohemian coffeehouse) and I am so glad to have a community of women....I am looking forward to meeting lots of new and wonderful friends to add to the adventure of my life....

I was looking online for networking sites since I was interested in starting a blog. The name DivaTribe stuck out, so decided to try it out! :D

I did the exact same thing. I was talking to my niece about places where women can get together and she suggested an online forum. I'm a little new with this whole forum thing, but hey here we go:D

I was on another popular online community for a few months, sharing my opinions and offering links to informative articles I find and post on my site, and when I went to sign in today - they had banned me! I decided to search for a community where there are women like me who won't shun me for trying to help :)

I am 26 years old, and I find that speaking to other women I can relate to keeps me motivated. I have a history of cancer in my family (my mom died from breast cancer 9 years ago), and I am REALLY wanting to live a healthy lifestyle. So the almighty Google Gods lead me here :)

I googled "women's message board". The first few choices were all I Village.  After viewing I just didn't have a feel for it.  It kind felt too commercial. Then I hit Diva Tribe.  Although I don't completely fit the definition, it feels like a community I can relate to.

Hi hm, Google web search. I know that sounds corny but looking to
check into varies things right now.

Oddly enough, I was digging through some old paperwork, and I found a printout I had from the Diva Tribe site from 2006! Not sure how I found the site originally, but I was curious to see if it was still around, and sort of amazed when I found that it was still alive and kicking! I know of plenty of websites that have come and gone in this time, so I'm glad to see that Diva Tribe is still here!

Definitely no trolls or drama here.  It's a place for people who also have lives outside of Internet message boards. ;)

Hi my name is Regina, "Tennessee Mom".  I found this site when I was looking for a womans message board.  My son is opening up a Irish Pub/Restaurant in Tennessee, this has been his dream for a long time.  He is finally getting his life together.  After I divorced his dad, when he was younger his life turned upside down.  It's taken a long time but he's finally made it and is going to open the door in about 4 months.   I want to help him with the restaurant, I am looking for recipes and decorations and used furniture.  We want it to look like the old Irish Pubs with the neat atmosphere.  If anyone has a really good Irish recipe or Irish decorations, pictures, beer mugs, ect. we will make a special place for these items in the restaurant.  If you do have anything special please send it to Regina Hooper, 801 S.
